(Written from the Mozambiquen bush 3 weeks ago.)

In training we heard about all the exciting things we would see this year. Many of which, we were told, would be healings. My team started out in Mexico with great expectations, we prayed for everyone we met. And by the time we’d arrived in Africa, we still hadn’t seen (at least to our knowledge) any miracles. I know that God has the power to heal and he is Sovereign over everyone – and since I don’t know exactly who it is he wants to heal, I just keep on asking. And then last week
, the church we were working with brought in a 4 year old boy, sick with malaria.

With that in mind, they brought the little boy before us; we laid hands on him and asked the Lord to heal him. The next morning we found out he’d been healed – he was up running around, playing and completelky healed! It was the first person we actually saw healed, and it was very encouraging.

So, we continue on with our prayers asking the Lord for healing. If I could offer a challenge that would be it, start asking the Lord for healing. John Wimber, part of the Vineyard movement, said you can’t say don’t believe in healing until you’ve prayed for 500 people to be healed. (Not that I think anyone actually doesn’t believe in healing, but rather a challenge and a goal.)

I’m on my way to 500 and have already seen one healed – Wow, thank you Jesus!  He is good!
