Sarah greeted me with a big hug and a napkin with my name scrawled on it by her three
year old hand.
Other misshapen pictures accompanied it, which I assume can be none other than her and I.
“Sarah, Thank you SO much!
I love this!
I will keep it forever.”
She smiled and gave
me a hug and promptly handed out similar napkins to my best friends.
Two seconds later, Trevor, her older brother barreled through the door, gave me a big hug, climbed all over me, dug his chin into my shoulder (this has become a Barnes cousin’s traditional way of tickling each other) and then promptly changed into his cub scout fatigues!
Meanwhile Sarah twirled around in her princess dress with her tiara crowning her goldilocks hair and I got to smother her with hugs too.
I love my cousins!
I got to spend last weekend in DC with friends and family to kick off a week of Thanksgiving.
Some of my college friends and I met up for one last hurrah before I left for the world.
I returned home and my second family, the Watsons, arrived on Tuesday for a week of holiday
together.
We’ve known each other for twenty years and the memories keep on coming.
Great picts tal! I’m glad you got some good time with family and friends in before we depart. I keep praying for you, and would love to hear how things are going. You are awesome!
